Food Network is very popular among my students so I decided to have them create their own show! I specifically have them demonstrate how to make a cake in front of the class but this idea can be tailored to any unit that lends itself to student demonstrations.
Its amazing how many students do not learn how to set a table at home these days-even a basic table setting. This lesson teaches students the correct table setting with a hands on approach.
Students will compare two different brands of the same appliance, choosing one to hypothetically purchase and evaluate their decision.
If you have never made homemade pasta with your students you are missing out. It is a blast and my students’ reactions are always funny as they stare in amazement that you can make pasta from scratch!
