Alternative Routes to becoming a Family Consumer Science Teacher
- Many states have set up programs for people with bachelor degrees and/or experience in a specific subject area to become a teacher without having to start from scratch- ie. completing a bachelor’s degree in teaching. Each state calls this program by a different name. The best website I could find on the subject matter is: Teach-Now.com to find specific information on whether or not an alternative route to teacher licensure program exists, what its called, and the requirements.
